The Michigan Spinal Cord Injury Association is proud to support The Guiding Star Foundation, a new nonprofit that was founded in May 2013. The mission of the organization is to provide uninsured or underinsured physically disabled individuals in Michigan the opportunity to maximize their function and independence by not allowing their disability to define their lives.
The foundation will be holding it’s first golf outing fundraiser on Monday, September 8, 2014 at the Captain’s Club of Woodfield in Grand Blanc, Michigan. All proceeds will go toward assisting with programs in mobility, adaptive home modification / equipment, medical supplies, durable medical equipment, and activities of daily living, rehabilitation services and adaptive recreational equipment that individuals may not have the means to receive.
